What is IM

IM (Instant Messenger) is a service similar to that of Jabber (Jabber Wiki Page) used on CTWUG.

The IM has a few extra features as listed below:

The IM is currently only available for CTWUG users. You can download the App from the link below.

How To

• Download the new Client.
• Uninstall your existing Client (If installed)
• Install the new Updated Client.
• If it complains about a DLL file, choose 'IGNORE'.
• Private me (ThaViper) on IRC for an account. (Leave an email address if you disconnect)
• Open the IM, check that the hostname is im.thaviper.ctwug.za.net
• At the bottom left, click on Settings & change the port to 5222.
• Login with the supplied Username & Password.
• Goto Options -> Password & change your Password.
• Send some messages.
