Client Nodes

Client Nodes (aka Basic nodes) are nodes that connects to 1 other node. (normally a relay node)

CTWUG users that only connect to highsite is an example of a Client Node.

Relay Nodes

Relay Nodes (aka Access Points / Transit Nodes ) connects to more than 1 node. Ideally it would connect to a Backbone Node and then relay (broadcast) the signal so that other Client Nodes can connect to it.

Examples of Relay Nodes

  • CTWUG Users that connects to a another CTWUG site and also have an interface that broadcasts. [Ctwug_nodes | CTWUG Relay Nodes ]
  • CTWUG Highsites that have broadcasting interfaces and other clients connect to this highsite. [Ctwug_highsites | CTWUG Highsites ]

Backbone Nodes

Backbone Nodes normally links other Relay Nodes together via high speed links. Backbone nodes normally have more than 1 highspeed link.
