GM's Explained

What is a GM

A GM, also known as a Game Master, functions as an administrator for a game server and therefore like all big game servers World of Warcraft also requires a number of GM's.

When a person becomes a GM, they receive a GM account. This allows the GM to create different characters to perform their GM duties with.

A GM's role is to help the serer stay in a stable condition.

This means the following:

  1. A GM must help to improve the server by pointing out bugs within the server.
  2. A GM should assist fellow CTWUG-WoWers with their WoW experience
    • This includes providing valuable knowledge about different aspects of the game.
    • It also includes helping characters to complete broken quests.
  3. Help improve the WoW experience for all CTWUG-WoWers.

Contacting a GM

Contacting a GM is a fairly easy process if you know how to do it.

The easiest way to contact a GM would be within World of Warcraft or on the IRC #ctwug-WoW/bnet channel. GM's within wow will have a status of Warlord within the guild and will have a GM tag in front of their name. Within IRC a GM will most probably have a status of owner, admin, operator, half-operator or voice.

When contacting a GM please move straight to what you want to ask, they also want to enjoy the game, and be polite.
