Candidate nick/name
Pilgrim
What role are you running for?
CTWUG Treasurer
Why do you think you are suitable for the role (qualifications/experience)?
I have been actively involved with CTWUG for almost 3 years now. Currently I am the Treasurer and feel that I have been doing a good job.
I am a software developer by day, so I do not have an official financial background or qualifications. My focus is more on making sure that all the money donated gets allocated to projects, and that nothing gets paid that has not been discussed by the committee.
- I want to ease the process of getting finances from the Wug for new sites.
- I want to help new Wuggers understand how they can plan and implement new links and new highsites that will benefit the Wug as a whole.
What actions would you take to achieve these goals?
- Review the process needed to get a finance project going
- Update the wiki with more information on how that process works
- Get more people involved with building sites together
Since the previous election, what have you done to improve the WUG?
I have helped get a few sites financed and running, and I feel I have made people more aware of how the Finance project works.
How have you been involved in the WUG (high site work/admin/support)?
- I am the CTWUG Treasurer
- Currently I administer Mars
- Worked on the Mars upgrade, both physicality and planning
- Co-admin on Mercury, Uranus, Ariel and Prometheus
- I have helped set up routing when the Helderberg and Strand sites went live
- I also help set up routing on private link (if they meet the requirements)
