Updates to the CTWUG access list.
From Friday the 14th of August we will implement a new access model for the #ctwug IRC channel.
We will only make use of two access levels namely 50 (@) and 30 (+).
Channel operators (@)
Will be in charge of control over the #ctwug channel. They will have the right to kick and ban users as they see fit and their word is final. If they abuse their operator status it will be removed immediately. auto-ops will be disabled and channel operators will need to op themselves if needed.
Voice (+)
Will be in charge helping users with WUG related issues. This includes issues like routing, winbox, forums, wiki etc.
Topic Changes.
We will open up the topic so that any user will be able to update it. Our topics should be kept clean and WUG related. Information that should be in the topic:
- Highsite changes.
- When Highsite changes will be implemented.
- Reasons why the network is down in a certain areas (ie. someone broke OSPF, Theft of equipment etc.).
- New services implemented.
- Birthdays
Information that should NOT be in the topic.
- Quotes of something that someone said in the channel.
- Things totaly non WUG related. (ie. Rugby die saterdag, bespreek jou kaartjies by Stolla)
- URLs
People on the access list.
