Edit /etc/apt/source.list with this command "sudo vi /etc/apt/source.list" and edit the DEB lines like this: deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted becomes deb http://ubuntu.io.ctwug.za.net:3142/archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted Then you need to do an update with this command: sudo apt-get update
